You cannot see your own eyes without a reflection, a mirror.
We all know this is impossible. Are you also aware that the same goes for the stories, beliefs and lies you carry for yourself? That is why they are called blind spots.​ 
The cleaner the mirror, the cleaner the reflection will be.
We all reflect each other all the time. But the reflection you get from a friend, coworker, family member or even religious guide, who has emotional (or other) ties to you, as well as still carrying his or her own stories, is very different from the reflection available from someone who has done deep inner work and is now able to let existence itself flow through him or her, in order to see clearly and give you a clean, impersonal reflection.
